Community SOGarden Scholarship Program

Community SOGarden is excited to offer two $500 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who reside in the South Tampa area. This scholarship supports students who are passionate about community engagement and sustainability.

• Must be a high school senior residing in the South Tampa area.

• 500-word essay on one of the following topics:
  • The impact a community garden has on a neighborhood.
  • A sustainable gardening initiative you propose for your community.
• 8 volunteer hours at Community SOGarden or completion of a garden-related project.
• 1–2 letters of recommendation from a teacher, mentor, employer, or community leader.

• Application Deadline: March 15, 2026
• Scholarship Award Date: May 15, 2026
